That's what we've been creating at The Salty Sparrow since 2015 — jewelry with a story worth telling.
Where We Come From
Our studio is rooted in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, along the stretch of coastline known as the Emerald Coast. Named for the rare emerald-green hue of the Gulf waters, it's a place defined by natural beauty — and that beauty has always informed our work.
The colors of our gemstones mirror the landscape around us: the deep blues of the aquamarine, the warm golds of citrine, the soft blush of rose quartz. Living and creating here isn't just a backdrop — it's a creative foundation.
How we choose our gemstones
The jewelry industry uses a grading system for gemstones, and AAA is the highest quality tier available. When we source our stones, we're looking for:
- Clarity: minimal inclusions visible to the naked eye
- Color: rich, saturated, true-to-stone hue
- Cut: precise faceting that maximizes light reflection
- Consistency: stones that match beautifully when used together in a single piece
We work with trusted suppliers who share our standards, and we personally select stones for their character — not just their grade.
